Mathematics - Division ( 8 ÷ 2 = 4 )

Division is the fourth basics in mathematics.

How do you describe Division?

Imagine..
if c times b equals a, written:

c X b = a

where b is not 0, then a divided by b equals c, written:

 a ÷ b = c

a  = c
b

If a = 6, b = 3, c = ?
We have:

6  = c
3

c = 2 because:

2 X 3 = 6

In the above expression, a is called the dividend, b the divisor & c the quotient
